Can you recommend any good restaurants in Montclair? I'll be going out with two execs from our company and a colleague this Wednesday night.
Last time we went out, it was to Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange (which I wasn't too crazy about), and I would think that our budget is somewhere around the same, though personally, I wouldn't mind less expensive, less formal and better food.
Love Culinariane. Food is phenomenal, great atmosphere. Only negative is that location is not the best part of Montclair. It's BYO so have a couple good bottles of wine with you.
Also, BLU better area(on Bloomgfield), great food also BYO
And finally Fascino, again awesome food, great upscale atmosphere again, BYO and on Bloomfield.
Orange Squirrel is amazing and is a bit further down bloomfield ave in bloomfield. I like Casa Piquin also. If your willing to go a little further Stamna in Bloomfield is also really good Greek food. Do you have a type of food your looking for? That might help narrow the search.

i second orange squirrel. though, given the guests the OP is looking to entertained, I thought twice about recommending it. the food is great, atmosphere is nice. it's a tad on the loud side due to the materials of the interior, but it's also not a lot of tables so it's ok. but the food was outstanding.
Great recommendations in CulinArine, Blu, Fascino, and Giotto.
I'd add Pig and Prince to the list to consider also, especially if you want a spot where you can have drinks. Fricasse on Park St is an awesome little French BYOB Bistro too.
Fin on Glenridge Avenue in Montclair is great. Cool vibe and great food if you like seafood. Also BYOB like a lot of Montclair. Pig and the Prince is great due to it's awesome interior. I've been to Giotto as well and liked it.
