Are there any laser car washes within 20-30 minutes of the Fort Lee area. I haven't found anything, only hand and brush car washes. Thanks if you can help...

Don't know about the laser -- but go to Skippy's and the "old Teddy's" (the one right near the Plaza diner).

What's the deal with the laser car wash? Thanks.

I always get a nervous feeling about brushes rubbing up and down my car. Could be rocks, etc stuck on the brushes and then they slide up and down your car scratching the heck out of it. I rather use a brushless laser wash. They had them in upstate, NY where I am originally from, but haven't seen any yet in NJ in the 5 months I have been here.

Got it. Thanks. I had never heard of or seen laser car washes and I don't understand how they work, but I guess technology runs everywhere. The ones mentioned in Fort Lee are completey "done by hand" car washes -- no brushes, machines, etc. They do use a steam cleaner for the wheels, but that's the only mechanical device used.

They have also been there for ages -- people travel to go to these car washes and most people in the area who drive upscale, expensive, etc. cars bring their cars there. Check them out.
