A quick few questions, sorry if they have been asked before, I did search!

1. I will be commuting to NYC from Upper Montclair/the cusp of Clifton and want to know how long the journey will take by bus as I have gathered there is no train on weekends?

2. If anyone knows the Transit quite well what bus do I take to get into Hoboken from my location? I am close to Allwood Road and Clifton Ave. I am having trouble working out the transportation links as I am used to driving everywhere, not to mention this isn't my state!

3.Finally, is this a safe location? It is closer to where I need to be but my other option is Weehawken.

Thanks In Advance everyone!

Montclair/ Clifton is safe. There's a park and ride on Allwood Rd in Clifton. Did you check the nj transit site?

Thanks for the reply! Yes I have checked the NJ transit, I can work out the trains but wanted to take the bus too, which is what I'm having trouble figuring out.

Since I don't make the commute, I'm not sure. I would call them and ask.

Your closest commuting choice is the Allwood Park & Ride (on Allwood Road between Broad Street and Clifton Ave). The 190/191/192 buses go directly to New York City; I don't think there's a bus to Hoboken from Clifton. However, you can take the NJ Transit Main Line train (seven days a week) directly to Hoboken. The Clifton station is about a mile from the park & ride, with a fairly spacious parking lot.
