I just seen on TV that Pennsylvania is in the process of charging tolls on Rt. 80. Pennsy claims they will make 100 billion dollars over 50 years for improvements to alot of the highways and bridges in there state. Question for Posters. How come we charge tolls on the Parkway and Turnpike, they both run north to south, pretty much. But we don't have any tolls on roads that run east to west, Rt.80, Rt.78, Rt.195. You guys and gals that live out by PENNSY get a break, lets share the burden. So bring it on.
Routes 276 and 76 run east to west in PA (aka known as the PA tpk.) and they are toll roads. Once you hit 80 in Ohio, it becomes the Ohio Tpk., and charges tolls. It's only the part in PA that is not "tolled"

No way! Part of the reason I moved where I did was b/c I didn't have to deal with tolls, which was sucking $100/mo out of my pocket. I'm a NIMBY when it comes to this!
