I am Indian-American professional living in Parsippany, NJ. However, we are looking for a house in nearby towns with good schools and diverse demographics. I have a daughter who would get into elementary school next year. I know about the commute to NYC and I have accepted it's not going to be better than Parsippany, NJ. So I need some help on
1. School Demographics in Montville, Mountain Lakes, Livingston, Short Hills
2. Tolerance/Acceptance towards Indian Americans.

I have tried to go through schooldigger and other sites, but they usually don't have break up between asian and asian Indians.

Thanks a lot

Hi there, This is not scientific at all, but I'm in healthcare and I know three Indian-American doctors that I work with that live in Montville. They like their homes and their children are doing very well, too. One family sends their children to Newark Academy, a local private school. I also know a respiratory therapist and a nurse who like Montville, too. Their children are in the Montville school system. The schools are very highly rated. Good luck with your search for your new home.

Just be careful of the areas in the flood plain. You can check on this at the Montville municipal building or with the newest FEMA flood plain mapping.

Ah yes, the right kind of diversity. You should have no problem in those towns. Few undesirables.
