That is when you will know how good a company they really are
Most insurance co's will be nice as they take the money in
but how do they treat you when it is time to pay out

I do work for a lot of Public adjusters all over NJ and NY
and see first hand how these co's treat the people that have suffered a loss
some are easy to deal with and some are not ,Since i have to work with these co's i will not mention them
Brian, we are finally in agreement. A good company is not who charges less, its who will pay a claim without giving you a problem and when you need to use the insurance.

So, I found out that we do qualify to use NJ manufacturers, however the application process takes up to 4 weeks and we close in less than 3 so I don't think it will work for us this time around! Maybe we'll just do our auto policy with them for now and get a homeowners quote for future reference.

IBginnie: USAA has always been great for our auto insurance and banking but for some reason their homeowners premiums are insane! 3 to 4 times as much as the next lowest quote! We found this out when we bought our last house and then again this time. They're not even writing new policies in Monmouth County anymore and had to refer us to another company.

Thanks for all the input, everyone

just an FYI in response to a few posts above in the event you use NJM for homeowner's in the future - i've had to file claims (both homeowners and car) and they could not have been better, I've never had a problem and they are professional and courteous. i'd look into them next year when your policy expires!

Ditto on what everyone said about NJM. We've had them for about 10 years now and will absolutley never change. AND we just recently moved to NE PA, guess what? They cover here too!! We were ecstatic that we didn't have to lose them with the move.

Kercar,

I sent you a direct message about HomeOwners Insurance, I am an insurance agent in Freehold and can help you.

I work with A+ Rated companies and the premiums aren't expensive but if you can get NJ Manafacturers you should go with them. I can get you a quote instantly and can bind coverage instantly.

Give me a call 732 462 8343
