I am looking for rental home for my family - I work in Wayne, and hubby in Jersey City, and we have 2 kids, 6 and 3 years. I have been searching around livingston area but so far no good rentals. My budget is around 2500-3000.
How about Verona and North Caldwell area? I want to know some information about schools, transportations to Jersey City, grocery shopping, etc. Or anybody has other recommendations?
Verona is a nice suburban town. School system is considered good. Nice park (Verona Park). I imagine for getting to JC, you'd have to drive. Not sure if there are many home rentals in town, you may have to look at actual apartment buildings.
For that budget, you can also look in Montclair, which is one town over. Schools probably not considered as good as Verona, but that's mainly a high school level concern. Montclair has a much more present downtown, but of course, you can always drive to it if you move to Verona. You also stand a better chance of a home rental in a multifamily than you would in Verona.
