hi folks,

I live in Linden NJ and I am looking to move closer to nyc in bergen county area or hudson county area. The Areas I am looking at are North Bergen, Guttenberg, West New York , Weehawken, Union City. This is my first choice. I am looking for safety and a nice nyc downtown feel. Which of the towns are the best for safety and a pleasant diverse neighborhood? I want to be able to get back and forth in the city via different ways (gypsie vans, ferry, Nj transit to PA)

Also is Fairview NJ a good place to live? What about Cliffside Park?

Lastly, I would rather live in a apartment/condo complex. Are these in the areas i mentioned above if not where should I be looking? My second choice is an apartment building and last someone's 2 family home.

Please help,
Thanks!

I would pick Cliffside Park over Fairview. Fairview borders North Bergen, and while it isn't the worst place to be, it isn't the best either. Cliffside park generally is filled with the type of real estate you're searching for too.

Fort Lee is another nice option, very similar to Cliffside Park.

Thank you Samus! I have a friend who used to live in Cliffside Park and she always raved about it! I know I am late but still thanks so much for replying.
