mine seem kind of small
most are around 12X13. I want to make the master a little bigger and add a master bath and 1 or 2 walk in closets.

Also is there an average cost per square foot for an addition.

The site looks good. But what about average room size. Also what are people looking for when they buy a house as I want to take this into consideration when I build. I am planning on adding a 29X15 addition so I want to do it right.

If you want to research it on your own, just browse local real estate listings and see what other homes offer. You may be surprised to find out that your house may be more "typical" then you think it is. If you want some professional advice, reach out to the real estate agent you used to buy your house, or their office (or any other realtor) and ask them to come by for a quick discussion. Tell them what you want to do and that you want to maximize resale value for a future sale. They can probably give you some pointed advice about what buyers in the local market are looking for, what is typical in your area and what kind of finishes are generally used.
