Could have hit a passing car. These small plane pilots need more training.

The Pilot was Instrument rating, and the Ins Company will require extra training to fly a turbo plane. So he had more then the required training to fly the plane.

atc was reporting some/moderate ice from 10-15,000 feet, and 1 report of Severe Ice in the area from witness reports it sounds like a total stall, and he could not recover, I think I heard on ATC tapes he was asking for higher altutite.

This is so sad. I read that there was a dog on the plane, too, the family dog I guess.

Its a tragedy - 2 kids, wife, colleague and the pilot. The motorists can thank their stars. Just a freak accident.

One report I read said one of the wings was found over 1/4 mile away.

I have been assuming icing, possible stall then over correction into catastrophic failure. Once I heard what happened I wasn't so angry to be stuck in traffic for 4 hours.
