hi!!! I'm looking for a good towns in Bergen County, NJ to buy house at lower prices, lower home tax and public transportation to NYC??? I can be possible???

....but lower prices equate to crappy public school district for sure. Even some towns with high prices still have crappy public school district in NJ (ie: Hoboken, Jersey City, etc.)

Is Bergen county essential? Clifton might be an option depending upon the neighborhood you choose. The taxes in Passaic county are a bit lower than Bergen and transit won't be too much longer than commuting from Rutherford or Lyndhurst.

How important are schools to you?

I would also need to know if excellent schools are needed. Also, how long a commute? Is 30 minutes bearable?
