I was interested in a house in Glen Ridge. The house was close to Walnut Street Train Station and Bay St Train Station. I am new to NJ state. Is it safe to walk to those stations at night time, such as 8 or 9pm?

Also, is Glen Ridge a safe place to live?

Thanks

Its a decent place to live .....its your typical suburb near the Urban areas... No violent crime as far as i know....typical suburban crime issues...

Near bay and walnut- that puts you roughly behind the hospital. Yes it's safe but you better pick your route. Straight up oxford or walnut may be your best bet. Alternatively, you can walk down to Ridgewood ave and over to the GR station which might be your best bet. You can expect the usual break ins esp with gold prices so high and economy weak.
