Hi,

I recently moved to Middletown and renting in Apartment Complex named Knollwood Garden near to Route 35 which is near to everything, shopping, restaurents, parks etc.. They are not very luxery apartments but nice, very safe and family oriented.

Does anyone have information on 'The villages at Chapel Hill' townhomes built by Centex homes? The way it is designed, not appealing but living space is plenty. I also heard that they are not selling well. Builder has lots of ready to move-in tomehomes available.

Any idea on this development?

I so agree. Middletown has its nice spots but Keansburg? You could also try Red Bank.

Default Joke?

I think that post about Keansburg was supposed to be a joke. North Middletown has some very nice areas - but keep away from the Keansburg border.

What do you want to know about Chapel Hill ? PM with questions I can help answer them..

As far as communting to JC, the Jersey transit takes you to Newark then you would take the Path to Exchange Pl. which is JC. The ride from Middletown is about an hr. and 10 min. As far as Middletown it is a large town with several different areas. PM and I can help answer your questions..

Middletown is sprawling, and you can find any socio-economic group in the confines! NJ is like that all over. In Monmouth County, Navesink River Road is considered Middletown, but is Keansburg??

How many of you have caught a sallygrowler . For all the bountiful real estate on the Navesink & the Shrewsbury River, a sallygrowler on the line is freightening, to say the least :0)

There is a home listed for sale in Cottage Gate. Is it safe to consider purchasing there, given what I just read on this forum?

The home is for sale by the owner--not the developer.

Thanks, in advance, for any insight you can offer.

why would anyone consider a resale in a place the developer can't sell units?
cottage gate is a poorly planned development in a bad location. large homes on tiny lots directly on a busy highway. The original builder went belly up, this guy who has it now is just trying to close it out.
You can get a much better home in a better location than cottage gate
