Specifically how is the middle/high?..

Do the schools get the kids ready for college? What sort of education do they get? Progressive? Back to basics? Schools in Northern New England all go in for lots of 'let's be friends/touchy feely stuff' which is fine and good but at the expense of education. I'm used to very good NY/metro education, even in public school.

Please weigh in if you want.

Maple Shade isn't horrible, but it's definitely considered in the lower tier of school systems in the area. If we were to compare all of the towns in Camden/Burlington based on school system, Maple Shade would rate in the bottom half, with the middle/high school offerings worse than the elementary schools.

Okay, thanks, sorry not to reply sooner.
We're busy trying to search for jobs.

I provided this attached map to my BIL who is moving back from Delaware to the area, that shows ratings from the Greatschools website, based on accumulated MAP scores from reading and math.

Maple Shade Schools-l-t-map.jpg

It's only middle schools since their child is going into 6th grade, but I can add elementary and high school ratings too, if you'd like.

Thanks, Mike.
I think where we'll move will depend on jobs and where we can afford to rent an apartment. It's all very overwhelming right now. Our first step is moving out of this state, returning to the NY area and then searching S. Jersey from NY.
