I'd like to know too, but some don't post often. Hopefully he'll get back and tell us.

I live in Philly and many many people go over to Camden all the time for concerts, aquarium, the Battleship, and never have a problem. I've left the concert arena after midnite and never had a problem. I know people that leave those venues after dark and go over to the subway and ride back to Philly. Just because the guy hasn't replied since his visit doesn't mean he was killed in Camden or something. I think you may be inferring way too much cause someone hasn't replied to you in an internet forum. Vast majority of Camden murders are drug related and the victims know the perp.

People, especially on the internet, love to engage in sensationalism.

We can only assume the OP was robbed for drug money and left for dead.

I'm glad to say that nothing so sensational as that happened. In fact, we haven't gone yet. On my son's day off from school, I was running a 101-degree fever and wasn't up for the two-hour drive up and the two-hour drive back and the walking around and all that.

If the weather is still decent on his next day off (which is next month), we'll try again. Otherwise it'll probably have to wait until next spring.

Many thanks for all your concern!

I've been there before. It's really interesting! I'd reccomend it. I've also been to Camden several other times, mainly for concerts. Yeah, Camden sucks, but the waterfront area is pretty nice. Go during the day and stay by the waterfront and you'll be fine.
