I saw an article on nj.com about a big wawa/gas coming on 130 and jacksonville rd, just 2 or 3 miles from a couple others in burlington township. It will be where the old acme was 15 years ago. That lot has been empty for years.

I wonder if it means one of the other Wawa's will be closing. A lot of times Wawa will build a new larger store in a better location and then turn around and shut down one of the older stores in close proximity. Good location though, there is a lot of traffic that moves through that area.

Wawas are coming up all over the place. That one is good location because they'll get traffic from both directions on 130

The more Wawas there are, the better.

I think anyone who has a problem with more Wawas popping up all over the place is just a very miserable person. My co-worker who is from NY picked up a meatball sandwich there for lunch today and he loved it, and he is very picky about his meatball sandwiches. I told him yeah where you come from they have no Wawas, welcome to NJ dude.

They are. It's on their website. Apparently they had an agreement with another chain, Sheetz, which is no longer in effect. This has been a hot topic on the Charlotte board. Sheetz has gotten into NC & a southern chain is coming. 7-11 is coming back, so we are waiting, impatiently for WaWa.

Haha I heard about that too. I'm not sure if it was legally binding... that may raise some anti-competition flags. It may have been more of a gentleman's agreement. I know Sheetz is huge out in western PA. They love it out there as much as we love Wawa.

I haven't heard good reports on Sheetz, except from western PA natives.

I just thought that it was odd that WaWa jumped to Florida rather than enter NC.
