We just moved to Derry from Portland Maine and we need a Pediatrician for the kids. I have a 5year old son and a 15 month old- who is of course due for his 15 month visit. I have heard good things about Eliott, not-so-great things about Parkland Hospital, which made me leery of picking a practice right in town (There is an office close by called Derry Pediatrics, right across the road from Parkland.) Since you are always running to the pediatric office for well baby care and this and that, convenience is defintely a plus. So is the bad rap at Parkland deserved? Do they suffer by comparison with the proximity to major teaching hospitals in the area? Or are they really in bad shape? Is it worth sacrificing the convenience to go to Manchester or Londonderry or somewhere else?

Thanks for the advice

I live in Manchester, but I travel to Nashua for my son's pediatrician, because I LOVE her! Dr. Williams, Foundation Pediatrics, by Southern NH Medical. Well worth the trip. My son is pretty healthy....we only go once or twice a year, but I think she is worth the 20 -25 minute drive. good luck!
