We went skiing at Cannon Mt two years ago at -23ºF. It was cold. But it never dampened our spirits and we got a full day skiing. Last season, it was -20ºF at Sunapee. Some of my best snowshoeing days have been below 0ºF. If I had a problem, it was shedding layers. No problem. With the high-tech great today, you don't have to be bundled like a polar bear.
My penury is when it gets above 90ºF. I am miserable. Absolutely miserable. At least in the Virgin Islands they have the trade winds. In New England there's humidity and oppressive heat. I hate it when it gets excessively hot.
Errrr, "grow a pair" comes to mind. You do live in NH after all.
