I am missing NH so much after reading the posts of the recipies - and the picture of the FLUFF from those whoopie pies (dang I miss those LOL) made me realize how inferior Kraft Marshmallow Creme really is. BTW, the creme is sold in with the pudding down here in NC!

So my question is this...for those who might be visiting NH via this forum what does everyone miss from NH ?

1. Fluff
2. Brown Bread with Raisins!
3. Drakes Yodels (only Hostess down here!)
4. real lobster (LOL)
5. Cains Mayo and Tartar Sauce (again Kraft is not the same - no Cains down here)

I am coming home in October for 2 weeks but that seems so far off. I am getting so homesick - can't wait to hear people talk like me again haha

Thank you Country - you are as pleasant as everyone says - thanks for the welcome. I have lived in NH for over 35 years and moved to NC about 6 years ago for my husband, but my heart is always in NH.

Drakes cakes are still available here, but they've been sold so many times that it's hard to say who currently owns them. They used to be called "kosher"...because they did not use animal fat but that has since changed along with the owners.

Brown bread with raisins are a staple with the saturday home made baked beans.

Yes em..... it's Essem !!!! Essem Franks

I like Pearl Hot dogs, Schonland will do.

The deli meat brands down here are Boars Head. But the good dogs are hard to find. I use Sabrett down here.

I can get Fluff. (Friends?) Canned Brown bread I haven't had since my mother was alive.

Lobsta... I never got a taste for it.... even when my uncle would cook it in seaweed on the beach in Biddeford, Maine.

I miss Yodels, Big Wheels, Ding Dongs

Funnybones, Coffeecake, Devil Dogs, etc. Yumm! My son is going
to school in Boston in the fall and I can't wait for my
