Woman Killed In Collision With Tractor-Trailer - Manchester News Story - WMUR Manchester (http://www.wmur.com/r/26561033/detail.html - broken link)

I was driving past this intersection soon after it happened. This is the second accident in the area in a week. Last week I saw an accident happen right in front of me, in that little intersection outside the DMV and the Shaws(?). Are accidents common in this area? The one I saw was understandable. No traffic lights, tons of cars, and nobody knows who has the right of way. The intersection in yesterday's accident has lights, but a lot of the comments afterwards said people are always running the red light. Is it because it's confusing?

Very scary, and very sad.

Wow, this is very sad. The supermarket by the Milford DMV is Market Basket, am I right?

I haven't known accidents to be very common in the area, though I'm unsure of where exactly it took place? Was it on the Wilton or Milford side of the Market Basket?

Yesterday's accident was actually beyond the DMV by a bit. The driver of the car was turning on to the 101 from Wilton rd.

I expect people to run red lights in particular the left turn lights. This has become more of a problem in the last five years as traffic density has seemingly doubled.I make a point of delaying my start on a green light to give any red light runners time to clear the intersection in case I do not happen to see them. Unlighted left turns into businesses are even more hazardous. Almost nobody bothers with turn signals.

I agree... People seem to respect the red less and less. It's really best to yield to the lunatics (unless you can safely box them in and ruin their zooming plans )

Of course, driving in NH is a paradise after 4 years on Long Island for college. Now THAT is some scary driving.

One of my daughters saw the aftermath. It was not near the DMV, but at the Irving gas station. The driver of the car was only 20 years old....
