We live in a small (22 apartments) apartment complex in Carson City. We've lived here nearly three years. The ENTIRE time here, we have NEVER seen another tenant that has children living with them....until a year ago, that is.

Unfortunately, this knucklehead moved into the apartment next to us, and immediately began allowing his two young daughters (pre-teens, about 9 and 12 years old) to romp and play outside there apartment on a walkway. We live on the second floor, and of course children jumping rope and screaming at each other rapidly began to annoy us!

Thanks to the efforts of numerous lawyers years ago, it's illegal to discriminate against children, right? If that were the case, what are the odds that ALL the other 21 apartments in our complex be childless? My guess is that the management company for our complex simply avoids renting to people with children. Numerous other apartment complex's in Carson City have LOTS of children in them, but this joker (probably for the lower rent) has apparently secreted in his two kids.

By the way, we live in the old managers apartment, which is situated such that virtually all the other units can be seen from our bedroom window, so we would know if some other tenant had children, believe me! Besides, I work at home, and would know if anyone else had children here.

Despite having told our management company numerous times about this guy and his kids, he's STILL here. He's smart enough to know that the kids can't actually live here (his wife takes them about half the time, and lives somewhere nearby), as per his rental agreement. However, we're getting greatly annoyed at this one joker who insists on having his kids here whenever he likes. We're often disturbed by them VERY early in the morning, as they come and go.

Anyone out there know of any recourse we might have (aside from moving) in getting this joker into "hot water" about the noisy kids thing? We figure if we "document" the problem by having a police report, we may be able to send it to the management company who could use it to evict this guy on the premise of "bothering the neighbors", instead of discrimination about kids!

THANKS!!
