In the town of Minden there is an LDS church. Other than that, it's not like they walk around with a sign on their shirt. They're obviously in this little town but they're just one of the neighbors, like every other person who might be a Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, or whatever.

I would doubt that its any different in any of the other mainline towns and cities around the state, like Carson City, Reno, and Las Vegas. Perhaps some of the real tiny places might be different, but I know nothing about them.

BTW, the Mormons founded the first town in Nevada. It's Genoa at the base of the Sierra Nevada, below Tahoe. They didn't last too long in the area, but there's a State park that has a rebuilt old stockade that you can visit. It's called "Mormon Station."

Las Vegas has a huge population of Mormons, there are 2 credit unions, a temple, and it seems like a church on each corner...They are mainly concentrated in Seven Hills/Anthem, the Northwest, and Sunrise Mountain...

Alot of communites in easter Nevada were started as Mormon colonies in the late 19th century, and still have the decendents of the original settelers there. Lund and Panaca are 2 that come to mind. I know where I'm at in Ely, there is a sizable Mormon population. The LDS church allows the hospital to use their meetinghouse for the yearly health fare, and the church also has a large cattle ranch in Spring Valley which it uses to raise beef that it provides for humanitarian purposes.

They are all over the place. You see them everywhere riding their bikes with their white shirts, black slacks and black ties on their mission. With backpacks full of LDS material ready to hand out to anyone that will listen to them. There are LDS churches all over the place and it seems that there is an LDS church adjacent to many public high schools in town.

Don't confuse the Mormons with "Big Love".

There's mormons everywhere anywhere now a days, especially in the western states surrounding Utah. Although Idaho has more mormons that Utah believe it or not. They're loving people, all the ones I've come across at least. I think Las Vegas has so many because where there's "sinners" there's people to "save," and because it's huge of course. Up here in Northern Nevada there's plenty also.
