We are considering relocating to the Nashville area, can anyone give me any info on housing, cost of living, employment, taxes, crime etc. My husband is a Commercial Electricain so how is the construction industry there?

Property taxes are based on roughly 1/4th the value of your house here vs. other areas where you are taxed on the whole amt. No income tax other than on dividends. Sales tax is roughly 9.25%. TN ranks as one of the 3-4 lowest in the country as far as total taxes go. 3-4BR homes range from $150k - $500k+ depending on where you live, but a $250k home buys you a lot in Nashville as compared to other areas of the country. Employment is good and cost of living is very reasonable. Overall a good area to move to.
