You will be within about five easy walking blocks of the main restaurant and bar scene in downtown Nashville. Just walk east to the 2nd and 3rd Avenue area. Enjoy!

There's also a great pub/bar right behind Union Station (The Flying Saucer). You're right between 2 great nightlife spots in Nashville at Union Station. Across the interstate is Demonbreun/Music Row area that has a strip of bars/restaurants, it's a little dangerous (traffic-wise) to walk there so you may want to take a cab over and back. But the crown jewel (as gbone mentioned) is the opposite direction towards the River on Broadway and 2nd Avenue areas. I'd really go there first and see what you think.

You can walk down Broadway to 2nd Avenue, but I'd use a little caution coming back and would take a cab. We don't have a huge crime problem but where you'll be walking isn't well-traveled at night sometimes. If you go down there around 6-8 PM, you're fine to walk there I imagine, but going back (10-1 AM), I'd take a cab.
