All the new schools...my head is spinning. We haven't been in the area since 2000. Our kids are now in middle and high school. What school district do we want to buy a home in??

Welcome back to Clarksville. There are a few new schools since 2000. Our daughter goes to Richview Middle which is an older school and we are very happy with the cirriculum and the environment. Let me know if I can be of any assistance beyond the schools.

Clarksville has definitely grown over the past 10 years!

We live in the Rossview School District (Elementary, Middle, and High) and could not be happier!

Great schools and all close together. The area off Exit 8 has really exploded. Some wonderful properties in the area.

Rossview, like others have said- is probably the best school to be in here in Cville. West Creek is the newest school (just opened this year) so it has the niceness, cleanness factor w/ lots of young, fresh teachers. I would go with one of those two schools.

I may be considering a position in Clarksville any suggestions for a single person to live I want somewhere safe, I don't know anyone and don't want to be scared at night. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I will want to rent! And if anyone roughly knows the cost of living and rental rates i would appreciate it...Thank you!

I'm not sure what the rental rates would be, but the overall cost of living in Tennessee is quite low. It would help to know where you are moving from, but you could always use a cost of living calculator to give you an idea.

I like surfing the net and found a site called realtor.com, you can type in the town and set your criteria as to what you can pay in rent. Ive seen a lot of pretty affordable places in C-Ville.
Though its a much bigger population than Id like, its still a really nice town and Ive met some really down-home folks there.

LadyG ---Welcome!! The good news is we do have affordable rentals in Clarksville. The bad news is that we are in the midst of a rental shortage.
