My husband and I have decided to relocate our family to Murfreesboro TN after deciding between Chattanooga and Knoxville. We plan on heading out the 1st week of August and can't wait. My husband is originally from Alabama so he is familiar with the certain areas of Tennessee but not Murfreesboro. Any information about the city would be much appreciated!

Below is a link to the Murfreesboro government... there are several links to schools, city interests and local info... hope that helps!

Thank you for the the information Lisa....we actually are looking for a home but are mainly interested in renting for now until we get situated. Do you do property management or could you refer me to someone? Also information on Churches would be very helpful

THECROWES,

I moved to Murfreesboro from FL. It will be 2 years in August. Murfreesboro is a decent sized little city and still growing. There are a ton of places of eat and shop. The greatest parks and recreations department and some of the best schools in the state. Murfreesboro is extremly family oriented.

Do you have jobs here yet? What type of church are you looking for? There are certainly no shortage of those here either. You should find what you need without any problems.

There are plenty of apartments here in all price ranges.
If you could give more details about what you are looking for, I might be able to better help you. Rent Range? House or Apt? Schools? etc...

Hello Krowes!

You have made an EXCELLENT choice picking Murfreesboro!!!! We have lived here since 2000 and would not want to live anywhere else. As far as churches go, there are TONS. I am sure there is an apartment in your price range as well. If you could provide us with your maximum rental price, we could help you a little bit more. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to!

Steve

My wife and I made the move from the Fletcher Hills area of El Cajon (in San Diego). Glad to have you hear and enjoy the move! We are in south Nashville, but have friends in M'boro and find ourselves in the area quite a bit.

As Kim mentioned, let us know what you are looking for and maybe someone here can introduce you to the right place to rent. Chargers coming for Christmas too :-)

I could also Recommend my sons complex to live. Its not expensive.
Murfreesboro is home to the Largest state university, MTSU.
Both of my children live there. My youngest is a junior at MTSU., and my son lives and works there.

Murfreesboro is a great place. But it's not home to the largest state university. MTSU has the largest undergraduate enrollment in the state, but UT-Knoxville has the largest over-all enrollment in the state.
