Hi
We would appreciate any information on work opportunies besides the Nashville area that would be in the carpentry/contruction trade. We of course are looking at area's that would have some land and not over an hour drive to Nashville.. any reasearch tools would be helpful!
Thanks, JD & Gem....

I can't help you a lot. I do know that a lot of people in Dickson work in Clarksville/Montgomery County in addition to Nashville. Clarksville has a fairly bustling economy. I'm not sure how much construction is going on in Dickson itself these days.

I know you said "besides Nashville" but Dickson isn't that far from the Bellevue area of Davidson County. It's also not far from Kingstons Springs in Cheatham County where there is quite a bit of construction these days.

I hope that helps a little.

You shouldn't have much trouble finding construction work in this area if you're willing to make the commute.

You will need to commute to find decent wages if you end up in Dickson. Dickson is a great area if you are looking for property. Most all the daily basics are here. I like the county government and taxes are not bad.
