Hi. I have been looking for a job in the Nashville area for quite a while now (since October) and have had plenty of calls from recruiters but have not been called for one interview yet. I live in CT. Do you know if companies in the area hire out of state people? I listed an address on my resume where I would be staying if I get a job since I thought that would help. Previously, I had tried to move to Charlotte, NC years ago and no one would talk to me unless I had a NC address.

Any advice?

Hello Rev. I currently live in Stamford CT and in the same situation. I did get one call from a property management company but of course im not there yet and they will not talk to me until im actually in the state. You definitely need to have an address in Nashville or your resume will get tossed. I might be crazy but i have already secured an apartment and will be moving April 1st without a job and will begin my hunt when i get there. I have been sending my resume out about a dozen times a day to different companies. Good luck and keep us all posted.

Hey. Thanks for the reply. Good luck with your move and job hunting. It has much tougher than I thought it would be. I finally sold my house up here and now just waiting on a job. I am going down to TN tomorrow and am talking to a couple of recruiters so hopefully something comes up.
