Good day to everyone. My family and I are coming to Nashville the week of Christmas. We would like to know what are some things to do around the area?

If you Google Nashville TN things to do you will be able to link with lists upon lists of things to do in Nashville. Some of the links have activities broken down by family, nightlife, restaurants, etc. Without knowing the age of your children and what sort of things you and your family are interested in it's kind of hard to give specifics. I think you will find plenty of information in the links.
Enjoy your trip!

It is beautiful! We've visited twice this year and it's just lovely! There are some family oriented shows there as well.

M family ranges from myself 27 and the Mrs 26. The kids 5 yrs old and a 8 month old. We are pretty much open to anything except country music. Sorry folks. Anyway we are coming from the D.C. area (Maryland to be exact) to check out the area as a possible relocation spot.

Well....even though you seem to have a dislike for country music, I still recommend visting the Ryman Aud. and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Both are rich in music history and not limited to the country genre.

We've visited Nashville five times so far and every time find more things to do/see. I found the Belmont mansion interesting and perhaps the college might have a Christmas concert or something along those lines; just a guess. This last trip we went to the Parthenon and just walked all over Vanderbilt (I think it's one of the nicest campuses I've visited). Other places: Belle Meade, Cheekwood, the Capitol, etc. etc.; Also, I love the downtown - it's such a mix of old and new and I never tire of going down there. P.S. Frist Art Museum - wonderful!!

Actually, Belmont has a big Christmas concert. PBS films it and put it on nationally as part of their annual Christmas events. It's called Christmas at Belmont (pretty clever title, huh? ;-).

Oh yeah - I think I saw part of that last year - wasn't one of the contestants from American Idol singing? She went to school there - can't think of her name!!

That sounds good. What about kid friendly places. I'll check out the Parthenon, I'm into history.
