WE also have a Trader Joe's opening in Green Hills in the fall...it is our first in Middle TN and I am sure they will be looking for people also. It is just around the corner from a Whole Foods too that is very nice and fairly new. There is never a shortage of jobs in Nashville. You might even consider checking out the job openings at www.vanderbilt.edu and then you will have tuition benefits as well as other great benefits. It is a great place for newcomers to Nashville and for young people to meet new peeps. I promise...we are really nice and friendly here. We are not San Diego, which I love dearly...but wonderful just the same. Also...for outdoor activities...check out www.teamgreenonline.com which has all sorts of adventure activities and also a great place to meet other singles...if you do move to Nashville.

well I found out they would not pay me same wage so I will be in same position as if I were to go to chattanooga. So for now I will be going to chattanooga instead. I will be with a friend that I can trust for now. I don't honestly know how long he will be staying in tennessee due to he might deploy in a year after we get there. so i may move to nashville then also depending on job situation after I get there. I do like the idea of nashville though. I will visit there a lot though. we also found super cheap rentals there too. also I will be going there in winter will i need snow chains or is snow not that bad there?

You won't need snow chains. Very little snow here. It we get some, it is gone in a few hours. What is your position at Whole Foods?

I am in prepared foods. I really want to go to produce, seems more fun. well they said its possible to make same its just not garanteed. but thanks to my friend calling me just now saying oh hey I have to stay in florida now. I hate florida so I might just go to tennessee by myself. so I think my decision is nashville since I will be on my own. I hate flip flopping decisions, and wish he looked into this before. so Nashvillians is mansfreburo area and franklin safe area? or any other places you would recommend me going to that would be close no more than 35 min from nash near good jobs if I cant match wage with whole foods there?

I might go through chatt first but dunno. Is there alot of 500-600 appartments 2 bd in nashville? Also how much more areas in nash vs chatt to go shooting?

One other possible option might be working at Publix. I don't have any idea what the wage difference is between Whole Foods and Publix, but the people who work at Publix seem to be fairly happy with their job, plus there are quite a few more Publix stores than there are Whole Foods.

I agree and that is what I suggested too. I think the wage should be the same to start and may end up more for an experienced person, although you never know and it goes according to need. I am reasonably sure that top out pay in the deli is around $13.50 an hour.

I hate Florida too, so I totally understand. Murfreesboro is about 30 minutes from Nashville. It is a very safe area. Franklin is closer to Nashville and very safe as well, but apts would cost more there. You could rent an apt in your price range in Murfreesboro pretty easy I would think. There is a new store opening in Smyrna in a few weeks. It is about 15 mins maybe from Murfreesboro. Not sure about apts. there. I know they are looking for help for the Smyrna store right now. If you are serious and want contact info please DM me and I will give you the info on who to contact.

Good Luck

You might want to check into Dollar General which is based here in Tennessee - they have Market Stores which are always looking for produce professionals.
