I'm originally from Connecticut and all the high schools up there offered adult education classes like crafts, painting, line dancing, exercise, floral design, holiday crafts, cooking, investing, etc.

Do any schools in this area offer these types of activites. I live up in Cottontown where there's not a lot to do other than grocery shopping and would love to take these types of courses again. I really miss line dancing for all the fun and exercise as well as the crafts.

Is there a community college near you? Usually they will have something along those lines to offer. Or check with your local Chamber of Commerce. They are a good resource for information. Good luck with your search

Here's a link to what Metro Nashville has to offer.

Community Education Click on the fall schedule to see the classes offered. The locations vary, so maybe there's something somewhat close to your town. Hope you find something!

You might try Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin.

I was going to mention Vol-State as well, I'm fixing to start classes there as I'm changing my career and noticed they have ALOT of those types of classes and not too expensive either.

Yep, and almost totally recovered from the tornado. It still looks a little bare because of all the trees that were taken out, but new trees have been planted -- in a few years it should look normal again.

I know that you can do line dancing at the Wildhorse in Nashville. Not sure if they have it everynight, and if this is something you could do.
