I just got a job in Hendersonville, and was wondering what apartments to stay clear of. I have a cat and I am just looking for a clean place, not necessarily a "luxury" apartment. I looked at the Williamburgs apartment and they seem good for the price, but is there something underlying that makes it too good to be true? Thanks!

I don't know the Williamsburg apts myself. There is a website, however, where people rate apartments, and Williamsburg didn't exactly get rave reviews there. I've lived at Arbors on Main (formerly called Gables and then called Colonial Village) and at Windsor Park. Both were quite similar, with Arbors on Main scoring higher in my opinion, but not by much. Windsor Park delivered a cleaner apt. to me with fresh carpeting, but water infiltration was a real concern. Arbors had quite an issue with spiders. I'm no longer in Hendersonville, but still live nearby. Most H'ville apartments are older and feature the cheapest cabinets, flooring and fixtures money can buy. Best thing anyone can do is take a look around and see a unit. Most of the time, though, they show you a model and not the one you are planning to rent, which makes the decision process difficult. It would be nice if these buildings used some kind of sound proofing between units. I heard my neighbors much more than I would ever care to hear them.
