By best I mean safe, affordable and quiet and short commute < 20 mins. I can afford up to $600, but would perfer $500. I will be working at the airport (BNA). I now live in Memphis and like the cooper-young neighborhood and midtown most, but I can deal with the blandness of the burbs since I'm not home much anyway. So, anywhere comparable will do. I would like to live near a park and water recreation.

I'm not familiar enough with it to give you any specific recommendations, but I would suggest you look in the Priest Lake area. Second choice might something in Smyrna or LaVergne.

By Priest Lake, I'm sure he means the Stewart's Ferry side and NOT the Antioch side. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Some complexes I would check out that are very convenient to BNA are Creekstone, The Trails, Stewart's Ferry, Mission Priest Lake, and the Cove at Priest Lake. You can probably find something around $600 at all of those places, with the exception of the last one which is more of a luxury complex and therefore higher priced.

Check out this site, Move.com

They show The Trails which another suggested.

You'll notice, however, that that apt. comlex offers no INTERIOR pictures.... I always get suspicious when an apt. company has 26 pictures and they're all different angles of the same building - with no idea of their actual living space. Red flag. The search agent is good on this website, too. (None of that putting in your minimum rent to have them come up with a starting rent twice as high.)

Take a look around Donelson if you want to be close to the airport. It's a quiet area, and probably lower rent prices.
