My daughter will be starting grad school at Trevecca Nazarene this summer and she will need an apartment (probably will have one or two roommates). I don't know anything about Nashville and am seeking to help her find an apartment in a safe area. The school said many students live about 15 minutes to the east of the school. We would be open to student apartments, also, that lease to students on a "per room" basis, if those exist in Nashville, but that is not a requirement. Perhaps someone knows where college students tend to live in Nashville? As far as a budget, we have not determined that yet--just need to know where to start!! Thank you in advance!

"Per room" apartments generally tend to exist in towns with bigger schools like Murfreesboro near MTSU or nearby Bowling Green, KY near WKU where I attended and lived in said apartments. Trevecca isn't in a good area but it's not the kind of school where that would generally affect students because it's so small and students frequently leave campus. As far as I know, Trevecca students usually live in suburban apartments if they can't afford the pricey areas towards nearby downtown.

Can you tell me roughly where these suburban apartments are located? A zip code or the names of some complexes? Thanks so much--

"15 minutes east of the school" would probably be referring to Donelson and maybe Hermitage. I think I would start my search there.

Donelson would be a great choice. Its a pretty quiet community.

Trevecca Nazarene is different enough from Vanderbilt or Belmont to ask if your daughter has a car or will need to use a bus or get rides from someone? The main safe area would be Donelson. You should also ask the school if they provide any money to use the bus? MTA does use Google map to find a bus & how far she would have to walk or bike from Murfreesboro Road.

Yes, she will have a car although I did read somewhere that they do provide free bus transportation to the school with the student ID.

I will start trying to look at this Donelson area. If anyone knows any complexes in this area, let me know. Thanks SO MUCH!!
