Are there any short cuts from one to another?

Drive to the tip of the Indian Lake peninsula, throw on a life jacket, and swim across the lake. You'll get there faster than you would in a car.

Whatever you do, do not trust a GPS if it doesn't recognize lakes....

Here is another way you can travel from Hendersonville to Mt. Juliet:

Drive from Hendersonville to Gallatin. Once in Gallatin, get on the 109 by-pass traveling toward Lebanon. You'll stay on the by-pass for a couple of miles then turn right onto Old 109 still traveling toward Lebanon and I-40 (I'm pretty sure there are signs). You'll be on 109 for about 12 miles (including the by-pass) until you reach US-70 Lebanon Rd. Turn right on 70 and drive about 5 miles. Turn left on US-171 North Mt. Juliet Rd. and drive into Mt. Juliet.
