I just moved to Nashville and would like to get involved in a community group with a local church. I was involved in one back in my former city and loved it - it was a great way to meet people around my age and in my stage of life (30, single but in a relationship, no kids, career-minded). I'm looking for HONEST opinions, please.

Has anyone on the forum had an experiences (good, bad, or ugly) with any community groups here in the area? I've visited a few non-denominational churches in the area but haven't settled on one yet. Their groups program will help me to decide where I want to attend regularly.

If you would rather NOT share your experience on the board, please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Do you mean a church-related small group that meets to socialize?

@Wmsn4Life - Yes. In my old group, we would get together once a week, do a Bible study and some socializing.

My husband and I attend Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood. They have community groups, but we are not members. My understanding is they meet for Bible study and socializing.

First Church of the Nazarene off Woodland Street has a plethora of community groups as you call them.

We go to Fellowship as well and the community groups are one of our favorite things about the church. It makes a big church seem smaller. I would be happy to answer any questions if you want to pm me.
