Looking to get a bundled deal (Phone/Cable/Internet). Which one do you recommend? Specifically, we'll be in Hendersonville if that matters. Thanks!

Comcast is OK if you don't have a problem. Dealing with an issue is rather frustrating because it's difficult to find intelligent life on the other end of the phone. I'm not sure UVerse would be any better since either way you're probably talking to a call center in India.

Comcast. Never had 1 problem since we bundled 2 years ago. We've used them for more than 15 years and are very satisfied.

My neighbor switched to Uverse and now regrets her decision.

We had Comcast for many years and made the switch over to UVerse this summer. Comcast internet got so bad we were constantly kicked offline. We have had no issues at all with UVerse.

I have NEVER been routed to a 'call center in India' in the 20 years I've been with Comcast.

Initial trouble with the internet was solved by switching to an Apple router ("Apple works with Apple") and except for a few area wide outages, which were resolved quickly, Comcast has been great. As have ALL the support people I have called, even as early as 5AM. They have been helpful and courteous and I have no complaints!

(A LOT can be solved by unplugging your cable box or modem for 60 seconds and plugging it back in and letting it reboot . . . )

Have also heard of people having trouble with U-Verse, and that Dish conks out during bad weather.

I did upgrade to "Performance Internet" as I wanted to stream Netflix movies it works like a dream.

We can't take advantage of the bundle with the phone as we need a hard wired land line for medical reasons, but I've been very happy with Comcast!

Uverse is the only option at the apt I'm at now. Hate it. I have to call them on a regular basis. I had Comcast in California and it was great.

Seems like it's just luck of the draw with whomever you go with...

I've had both

Had Comcast at my old house, the internet was not nearly as fast as advertised. We ended up changing services to U-Verse to save money, and we had a friend who worked for them that we wanted to help out by purchasing from him.

I liked the pricing for U-Verse, more boxes for rooms, faster internet. However, I didn't feel liek the signal was as consistent, and a lot of the ideas that U-Verse had seemed better on paper than in person.

Switched back to Comcast when we moved to our new apartments, haven't had a problem since, but the bill is so high, and it's about to go up from the discounted rate too.

You can call them and say you can't afford the new price and do they have any other 'deals'? They would MUCH rather keep you than lose you . . . You can even mention that U-Verse has SUCH a great deal going at the moment . . . . Doesn't hurt to ask, especially in the current economic environment.

We did that. We called Comcast and told them we wanted to cancel our service because it was too expensive, and she offered us a big discount right there on the phone. That's why we ended up doing the "triple play" and bundling.
