I've noticed Franklin has a lot of those houses that are brick on the front but vinyl siding on the back and/or sides. I don't know that it's a majority but certainly more than Brentwood. And there are definitely homes with only vinyl siding too. I went to an event once where some habitat for humanity homes had been built in Franklin and they were all siding.

It was fairly prevalent in the 1990s in neighborhoods like Forrest Crossing, Eagles Glen, Fieldstone Farms. "Three sides brick" kept image up, costs down.

Hardiplank didn't show up here until almost 2000, except in custom homes.

Only lived here less than a year, so Brentwood's all I know. Arguably one of the safest places I've lived, I bet I could sleep with my door unlocked and never have a problem.

It's also definitely an upscale part of town based on the houses and cars I see driving around. Certain roads can be horribly congested in the morning and evening commutes. Thanks to my realtor I avoid the mess that is the eastern part of Concord Road.

To conclude, think Soccer Mom, USA and you wouldn't be far off .

In all seriousness though Brentwood's a nice place to live as it's safe, has a lot of shopping/restaurants, great parks, and an awesome school system.
