I need some advice or direction...

I just found out that my sons mother is unfit (yes I have proof). Besides picking my son up, I had no communication with her, her friends, or her family, so the information I recently found out is very disturbing.

Now I am in a situation where I need to get him out of her care. I've been in touch with a couple attorneys but after my own bills and child support (yes I am paid in full), I do not have a ton of money to pay an attorney and some retainers are thousands of dollars! And with the proof I have, the attorneys have told me that I have a very strong case and agree I need to get my son away from her as soon as I can.

I know that I cannot be given an legal advice, but has anyone been in this situation where they need to get their child out of the mothers care but did not have the funds to pay an attorney? Especially when I have enough proof right now?

Does anyone know any attorneys that may be able and willing to help me out? I just need to find out some way to get my son out of this horrible situation.

you could call the bar association and ask for a referral.

If you say it is as bad as you say it is you could call DCS and have them investigate.

I've thought about DCS but I want to make sure it's done right and that she isn't able to fake them out and keep custody.

Hello, my name is Racquel and I'm new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on this subject of shared custody and/or child visitation rights. My best friend, who is 20 years old, has a four year old daughter who lives with her dad. When she was just a few months old, the father took the daughter to live with him and the mother agreed as long as she can visit her and spend time with her. So, the relationship with them was fine, but recently, she got a boyfriend and he's using her daughter to make her life miserable. He told her that she can never see her daughter again and now we will need to proceed with legal action. Any advice?
