Hi all,

I'm looking to get some firewood for the winter. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable seller? I live in Antioch...I've bought from the guys selling on Murfreesboro Road once before but it did not burn well at all. I bought from someone on CL two years ago and actually had a good experience, however his number and email are no longer working. Many of the sellers on CL are so vague I'm worried to deal with them. Willing to pay a little extra for some good wood, but some of the "dealers" in town are too steep for me.

Thanks!

It's worth the drive to Lawrence County and buy from the Amish. $30 - $40 /rick (an honest 1/3 cord) split hardwood. They usually load you too.

If it did not burn well....it was not seasoned and/or wet....

Hardwood should be cut, split, and seasoned almost a year in advance to burn well....

I heat with wood and have enough for this winter and next ready to go....
