Hi. I'm moving to Nashville from Brooklyn this summer and am looking for feedback regarding quality elementary schools in or around the Nashville-area.

This might seem weird, but I'm not necessarily looking for the highest achieving school. I am, however, looking for a school that has strong parent involvement, great teachers, and a supportive administration. Any parents or teachers out there with some input?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Shayne and Granbery have good support and are all around good schools from what I hear. I have firsthand experience with Shayne, and it is really a great place. I think the administration is outstanding. Good luck!

I have a child at Lockeland Design Elementary in East Nashville it has a very strong parent involvement and is a great school. It is a magnet school. I also have friends with children at Dan Mills Elementary in Inglewood also in East Nashville who love their School and it also has very strong parent involvement and is not a magnet school..best of luck..

Thanks! I will definitely look into all of those.

I'm probably going to end up moving to East Nashville, so it would be nice to work nearby!
