Does anyone know anything about the "Lofts at 160?" They are some lofts above the old spaghetti warehouse on 2nd ave and broadway. I was thinking about moving in there but I don't know the city very well. Is that an okay area of downtown to live in? Thanks.

I went to College in Nashville, and remember when the Spaghetti Factory was really the only thing down there.
A friend of mine from college, who still lives there and is in commercial real-estate, said that the Loft thing in Nashville hasn't really been that successful.
Perhaps for some of the reasons stated above, or that Nashville isn't New Orleans or New York. A demand thing.
Good luck.

The shooting was on 2nd St N, which is not downtown. 2nd Ave is downtown.

The Spaghetti Factory restaurant is on 2nd Avenue, but it is closer to Commerce Street.

I think the area that mmbb is talking about is across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe which is on Broadway, between 1st & 2nd Avenues.

mmbb, these lofts are right downtown, so noise & traffic would be a factor there. It gets kind of noisy down there when the Titans are playing at home. And, you would have to deal with Fan Fair every year in June. It all depends on your comfort zone.

I think the downtown living thing in N'ville would do a lot better if there were more DT amenities such as nice and conveient grocery store, shops that are open past the 5:00 hour, etc.
