Is there any grocery store (like a Trader Joe's/Whole Foods) in Hendersonville? I'm trying to see if I can avoid having to drive to Hillsboro Pike for things I may be able to get closer to home. Thanks.

there is no trader joes or whole foods. kroger in the glenbrook shopping center has a surprising number of natural/organic foods but not a whole lot in the fruits/vegetables or meat depts. publix has quite a few things too.

the drive to green hills is easy if there's not a lot of traffic.

Hendersonville Produce is good for locally grown veggies, local dairy products, and organic breads. They are on Gallatin Rd near Saundersville Rd. They also have CSA programs.

The new Kroger Marketplace has a fairly nice sized organic section with bulk grains, nuts, seeds, etc.

However, I still go to Green Hills on occasion for harder to find items.

This is one thing I really wish Hendersonville had but a 20 minute drive to Green Hills isn't horrible.

It's a great place! They will work with you if you want a certain product. They even bring in local meats from time to time. They also have a booth at the farmers market each Saturday morning at Indian Lake.

If you can't find what you're looking for in Hendersonville, the Turnip Truck in East Nashville at Five Points is also a shorter drive than than the trek to Green Hills.

I've wondered about Hendersonville Produce too. Glad to hear it's worth a visit. I've seen it before and wondered how they have been able to stay in business...seems like an unlikely location for a produce market. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info.

I haven't been there yet, but I just found out while doing some searching online that there is a "New Day Natural Foods" on Imperial Blvd. What that means, I don't know... and I couldn't find an actual web-site for them.
