Thank you Sandy, I was just going backwards reading threads and I just stumbled into this! As a child of late 80s-early 90s I couldn't remain disinterested
80s and 90s were great in musical terms. I just can't get into the 2000s music. It seems I am either very behind of times or very ahead of it. I am sure there is good music somewhere but it is so lost in the commotion caused by the bad music that I sometimes cannot bother to look for it.
I am from times when MTV actually played music videos, not some real-life situation crap as nowadays, and that should tell many things.
Since you posted this paragraph to my posting is your above tirade directed at me or someone else ??
Your post actually inspired me to write that tirade which I hope you have read. I was shocked to see that no one else mentioned Pet Shop Boys, and I was almost like swooning from happiness when I saw someone has mentioned them. That is probably why it was a tirade because they are my favourite band ever up there with the Beatles and REM
No it was not directed at you. It was a general reaction to other posts in the thread.
