I liked Cinderella's sound, but the band name and glam / gender-bending show limited my interest. I guess the show was aimed at the gals. And maybe guys willing to take their girlfriends to the show too? Seemed to work pretty well but perhaps limited their upside, legitimacy and longevity? Strip all the glam from it, might not have worked well enough. But just play it and you can try to ignore the glam maybe. Or let it go a few minutes then forget it.

They have some good tunes -- I was first introduced to them with this:
I always loved KISS. They were scheduled to play City Island in Harrisburg, PA. in June or July 1986 on the Asylum tour. I was 15 at the time.
I lived in Steelton at the time and the main street in town, Front St, went right into Harrisburg. Make a right onto Market St bridge that went right to the island.
I remember standing on the sidewalk on Front St. watching all the kids heading toward Harrisburg to go to the concert and feeling like I was missing out on a once in a lifetime special event.
Fast forward to 2000. I was unemployed and a buddy got me a job for the production company that handled the Farewell tour with all 4 original members! In all I seen 18 shows. They had 2 stages. It was the coolest thing to see all 4 original members in street clothes doing sound check and then later in full gear and makeup during the concert.
My second concert was back in 2000.
The last concert was KISS with Aerosmith in 2003.

It's all about the music. Before Mtv, there was FM, cassettes, LPs. I'd heard most of these songs way before seeing the videos.
Psst, why do you think guys like BON JOVI?
1. The music is great
2. The odds 4 to 1
Well they blew up the chicken man in Philly last night
Now they blew up his house too
Down on the boardwalk they're gettin' ready for a fight
Gonna see what them racket boys can do
Now there's trouble busin' in from outta state
And the D.A. can't get no relief
Gonna be a rumble out on the promenade
And the gamblin' commissions hangin' on by the skin of its teeth
Everything dies baby that's a fact
Maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your makeup on fix your hair up pretty
And meet me tonight in Atlantic City
