Unfortunately, this funky album only went gold in both the USA and the UK. It was the least successful Queen album ever because the rock fans could not accept the band members turned away from the classic rock.

The album producer Reinhold Mac said in his interview that the Hot Space album was released (release date - May 21, 1982) before its time. The best time to release would be imo 1983 after the Thriller (release date - November 30, 1982) by MJ came out.

I guess that's because only Thriller made that funky music SO successful in terms of worldwide sales.

Another neat tune off of the album.

I hardly can call it a solely rock tune. It's a kind of mixture. Funk + Rock.

Ok, I'm not going to argue with you as it seems you are trying to persuade me that the only real funk is the funk you love and the funk you got used to. You know it's like to say Hendrix is the only real rock but The Beatles aren't real rock because they don't sound like Jimi Hendrix. The truth is they are both very different rock musicians.

Yeah....don't mind me....... Funk is funk. I said that your Queen cut was nice. I liked it. I just think you make a category mistake.

And yes , Bru.....I am a noted Funkologist.
