When did they add "heritage" to it? I guess in order to attract attractions other than Jazz? Neil Young at a Jazz festival?

Whew! I'll be at the first weekend of Jazz Fest, and when I read that she was scheduled for the second week I cursed myself. She's my very favorite. Now that she's cancelled, I feel a whole lot better.

I'll miss Neil Young but at least I'll see Joe Cocker and David Matthews (among a slew of others).

A lot of musicians get together to play jazz and other genres in their spare time (got that from reading a lot of musician biographies). Most musicians like and play all kinds of music other than what they specialize in. That's where the musician's musicians come in, like Leon Russel, JJ Cale, etc.

Aretha had to cancel because she was wearing "the hat" and it was too wide to fit through the door to get to the concert.

Actually that was her that was too wide - man she could play center for the Rams and nobody would touch their QB.

LOL @ Neil Young playing a jazz concert. What's next, Father Mulcahey at a rap concert?
