According to a fellow DJ who grew up in Manhattan Kansas they had a strong disco scene mostly due to the College Radio station there. I asked if the rednecks were pissed?, and he became offended and would'nt speak to me for 2 days threatening to defriend me on fb for being so stereotypical. I apologized and now we are on speaking terms again.
