So, I thought that since we have people from all over in these forums, maybe we can share some of our fav. local bands. I personally like hearing up and coming artists before they go mainstream.

My imput:
Bare Knuckle Conflict

They are from my local area. Awesome band, if you are into metal.
check them out:

What are some of your faves from all genres?

Ooh I really like them! I have no idea what genre my picks are, both heavy I suppose.

My favorite local band is Faktion. These guys have actually gone mainstream, at least they play them on the radio all the time so I assume they have. I adore them myspace.com/faktiondallas

And from here in Galveston we have Melovine. I've yet to see them live but looking forward to it sometime soon. MelovinE.net

I know many consider Aerosmith a Boston band, but they got together at Lake Sunapee, NH. They played some gigs around Concord, NH (my home town) about 30 miles away in 71 & 72. Having no idea who these guys were, I stumbled upon a free outdoor concert they were doing in a shopping center parking lot. I got to hear most of the stuff that would appear on Get Your Wings which was released in 73. Good Times!

LMFAO
Sorry to bump this, but I was catching up on some posts..

Kid Rock is like my "secret obsession"
Ya know, the cd's you listen to in the car by yourself.. but hide them when others are in there.

And you are right "Yodeling in the Valley"... Hilarious.
