Did anybody else get to see this outstanding gig the other night at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater?

Wow! And Jon Anderson from Yes did an enjoyable opening set too.

For those too young to know, Parsons worked on the last few albums by the Beatles and was nominated for a grammy for his work on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in addition to some great albums of his own music that included impressive concept albums Tales of Mystery & Imagination, I Robot, Turn of a Friendly Card, and others. (he has a total of eleven grammy nominations over the years)

Talk about two blasts from the past (and two very fine artists). Wish I'd been there to see it.

Parsons Project is headed to Europe for a a few months of gig over then and will return to the USA for gig in May if I saw it right on Pollstar. You might get to see them but it probably won't be with an orchestra in most places. Oh well.

By the way, "Brit Floyd" an awesome Pink Floyd clone band is touring the U.S. right now I'm pretty sure.
